Important! Students invited to perform in the Gala Concert with an ensemble pay a one-time fee for all festival events in advance when their ensemble registers. To register, please use the Ensemble Registration Form, available from the Quick Links area at left. Everyone else may pay at the door or in advance (recommended) for festival events, but we ask that you please register in advance when possible, using the Auditor Registration Form (also available from the Quick Links area).

Saturday, 3/20/10

trumpet day

• What: A day of trumpet masterclasses, performances, and panel discussions for brass musicians of high school age and older (9th grade), featuring Phil Smith, Richard Stoelzel (GVSU), the GVSU Trumept Ensemble, and more. Trumpet players, bring your trumpet! All brass instrumentalists (i.e., not just trumpet players) are encouraged to attend. We have something for all brass players!
• When: 9:00 AM Registration; 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM with a lunch break from Noon to 1:00 PM (Note that lunch is provided.)

gala concert

• What: Gala Concert featuring Phil Smith, the Intercollegiate Brass Choir, Festival Chorus, and the GVSU Trumpet Ensemble.
• When: 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM (approximately)
• Where: Highland Hills Baptist Church (1415 Northrup NW, Grand Rapids, MI, 49504)
• Fee: None. A free-will offering will be taken during the concert to benefit David's House Ministries. (Free event--come early!)
