I suspect that you may have something of a routine as you take your seat on Sunday morning, and prepare your heart for worship.  Perhaps you take the bulletin and look through the prayer requests, or you begin with the meditation passage.  At some point you might even review the order of service.  You might be looking for the themes which flow through the service, or examining the hymns and songs to see if we might be singing one of your favorites.  Probably you are not looking for surprises.  While not totally rigid, our worship service does unfold in a relatively predictable way.  If you didn’t have a bulletin, you could probably manage your way through the service.  Someone might conclude that there is no room for spontaneity in our worship—that we might be stuck in a rut.  I would disagree.  I would suggest that the leadership can make an adjustment is they felt it necessary, but also that care and prayer has attended the planning of the... Worshipping with dear believers of another culture is an enriching experience.  One joins-in in spirit because the unity we know we share in Christ is profound.  Still, when that cross-cultural experience also includes a different language—a language one doesn’t understand—the worship experience can feel strange.  One simply cannot make sense of what is being said.  If this was one’s experience week after week after week, one might possibly grow discouraged about church attendance.  One of the central aspects of worship is the proclamation of truth by means of words.  If the hearers cannot understand the words, much is lost.  The Apostle Paul stresses this matter in our text for Sunday.  I am also reminded that we ought to be diligent in praying for our newer missionaries as they work in their language studies—and sit through a lot of church services they don’t yet understand.  1 Corinthians 14:1-25 will be our passage Sunday morning.  Download MP3 Audio

How much does it cost?
The podcast itself is free, and most podcasting software is free.  This podcast works great with iTunes.

Do I need to have an iPod?
No, you don't need an iPod.  If you want to subscribe to the podcast, you will need podcasting software, such as iTunes.

Do I need hi-speed internet?
The average size of each sermon is 7-9 megabytes, so a hi-speed connection (DSL, Cable, T1) is recommended.  However, the podcast should still work with dial-up connections.

Do I need special software just to listen to the sermon?
No, you do not need podcasting software to listen to these sermons.  Simply click on the 'Download' link next to the sermon that you'd like to hear.  It will open up in MP3 format, and you can listen to it on your computer's default media player.
