Pastor David Fath teaches from Colossians 1:9-14 Download MP3 Audio
Internet ads promoting health and beauty products like to make use of “before” and “after” pictures.  Why it’s almost like magic the way wrinkles can disappear, and pounds simply melt away.  Surely they wouldn’t be manipulating those photographs would they?  Well, never mind those products for the moment.  I want you to think about the ultimate transformation ahead for believers in Jesus Christ.  The one that will occur on the coming day of resurrection, when these human bodies—hampered as they are by the decay of sin, the curse and death—are transformed into imperishable immortal spiritual bodies.  The Bible gives us a glimpse of this coming reality in our passage for Sunday, 1 Corinthians 15:35-58.     Download MP3 Audio
It used to be that some of the most dreaded words on Christmas morning were printed in very small type on a box which contained a child’s new present.  The words were “Some assembly required.”  What this usually meant is that dad would to spend a couple hours, with insufficient tools, working with incomprehensible directions and finally declaring “I hope this works.”  We all know the uncertainty of being in over-our-heads, or dealing with the unfamiliar.  How comforting it is that we can face with certainty the most trying moment each of us will ever face:  the hour of death.  The reason for such confidence is our Lord Jesus.  He endured death, and conquered it.   Death cannot keep its hold on any who belong to Him.  Our passage Sunday morning  is 1 Corinthians 15:12-34.      Download MP3 Audio
